             GYRO GEARLOOSE'S TECHNICAL NOTES
              ON DUCKTALES FOR IBM COMPUTERS

According to my research, you can play DUCKTALES on
IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2, Tandy computers and compatibles
equipped with 512K of RAM and supporting CGA, EGA or
TGA graphics.

The quick start card, CASHING IN ON DUCKTALES: THE
QUEST FOR GOLD, has everything you need to know about
loading the game onto these computers. I've also
discovered some additional information of interest to
players using single 5.25-inch drives or hard disk
drives.

SINGLE DRIVE PLAYERS

If you are using a computer with a single 5.25-inch
disk drive, the game will occasionally ask you to
insert one of the two game disks. Simply insert the
new disk, close the drive latch, and then press Return.

HARD DRIVE PLAYERS

You can easily copy the game onto a hard disk drive by
following these steps.

1) Type MD DUCKTALE at the DOS prompt.
2) Insert your DUCKTALES disk into drive A (do this
with Disk 1, if drive A is a 5.25-inch drive).
When the DOS prompt appears, type COPY A:*.*
C:\DUCKTALE to copy the disk's contents onto your
     hard disk drive.
3) If drive A is a 5.25-inch drive, insert Disk 2
into the drive and type COPY A:*.* C:\DUCKTALE
     when the DOS prompt reappears.

The game is now on your hard disk drive. To play the
game, type CD DUCKTALE at the DOS prompt. Type
DUCKTALE when the DOS prompt reappears.
