2) MOST COMMON PROBLEMS PLAYING FULL THROTTLE
   ------------------------------------------
If you are having problems running the game, or getting
errors like "2001 Error/Page Granular", please try the
   following:

   * Most common problems are encountered because of computers
not meeting the minimum system requirements for this game.
Please check the system requirements on the box to make
sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements
     to play Full Throttle.

   * Try disabling the "Spooled Music" by pressing the F1 key
and clicking once on the box that says "Spooled Music" so
     that the X disappears.

   * Remove all external devices such as joysticks, steering
wheels, or external MIDI devices, and reduce the speed on
your gamecard if you are able to.

   * If you get an error during the Mine Road Sequence or the
Demolition Derby, try pressing the Shift Key + V at the
same time in battle mode. This may allow you to progress
     past the error.

   * You can also turn off sound while playing on the mine road.
Make sure that you save your game just before the mine
road, then exit the game and return to the game's launcher
menu, go to Configure Sound Card, Choose N for None, and
save your configuration. Then return to your saved game
and play through the mine road. Resave your game and now
you may turn sound back on.

   * If you see the error; "Stub Exec failed", you have prob-
ably tried to install the game from the C:\ prompt by
typing C:\>D:install. Switch to the CD-ROM drive and
     install the game from there.

   * If you are encountering CD-ROM Access problems, please see
the online Troubleshooting Guide that can be accessed
     through the game's launcher.

   * If you have not been able to resolve the problem using the
above suggestions, you can try using the four different
versions of DOS4GW that are available by going to the Game
Crash Issues section of the Trouble-Shooting Guide and
clicking on the different version numbers.

   * You may also try making a bootdisk, then delete the game,
boot up from boot disk, reinstall and try running the
     game.

3) IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS GETTING THE GAME TO RUN
   --------------------------------------------
If you experience any problems while playing Full Throttle
in Windows 95, we recommend that you play the game in
MS-DOS mode. This will resolve many problems found when
   playing in Windows 95.

If you continue to experience problems, please make a Boot
Disk using the boot maker utility which is included on the
Full Throttle CD. (Since Allboot is a DOS based program,
we only recommend that Windows 95 users make a boot disk
if they CANNOT play in Windows 95.) You must have DOS
CD-ROM, sound card, and mouse drivers installed in MS-DOS
mode for the boot maker utility to work correctly.

Making a Boot Disk - Windows 95 Users
   -------------------------------------
    * Make sure the Full Throttle CD is in your system's
      CD-ROM drive.
    * Click the Start button and choose Run.
    * Type D:\ALLBOOT (or the letter of your CD-ROM drive if
other than D) and click on OK. Follow the prompts on
the screen. When it prompts you to Format another, type
      N and press <Enter>.
    * Once the boot disk is made, reboot your system from the
boot disk. Do this by rebooting or restarting your system
with the boot disk in the A: drive. (Because the boot
disk is in your A: drive, your system will automatically
boot up in the Windows 95 version of DOS.)
    * To start the game, follow the "Launching under DOS"
instructions provided in the Quick Start Guide found in
      this package.

Making a Boot Disk - DOS Users
   ------------------------------
To make a boot disk, change to your CD-ROM drive (drive D
on most computers) and type ALLBOOT. Follow the prompts on
the screen to make the Boot Disk. When it prompts you to
Format another disk, type N and press <Enter>.
    * Once the boot disk is made, reboot your system from the
boot disk. Do this by rebooting or restarting your
system with the boot disk in the A: drive.
    * To start the game, follow the "Launching under DOS"
instructions provided in the Quick Start Guide found in
      this package.
    * After making the bootdisk, check the autoexec.bat file to
make sure that the MSCDEX buffer is set to 4. This is the
"m:" value in the MSCDEX line.

Last but not least, you've tried everything and can't get
the game to run. What do you do now?
   ------------------------------------
You can try running the SFT.BAT file to start Full Throttle.
   To do this:
   * From your CD-ROM drive, change to the SUPPORT directory.
(Example: D:\>CD\SUPPORT, if D is the letter of your
     CD-ROM drive)
   * Type SFT, followed by the letter of your CD-ROM drive
and a colon. (Example: D:\SUPPORT>SFT D:). This batch file
     bypasses the launcher.
   * This should allow the game to play.

4) TECHNICAL SUPPORT

If you are continuing to have technical difficulties with
this product, please contact the LucasArts Technical Support
department. If you contact us by phone, we recommend that
you are at your computer so that we can assist you more
quickly. It is also helpful to have a list of your machine's

call technical support if you have NOT first tried to
resolve your problem by making a boot disk using the game's
   Boot Maker Utility.
