Thanks for purchasing Jagged Alliance Deadly Games!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last Minute Manual Info:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quick Saves
------------
Quick Saves are now permanent, not temporary as indicated on the reference
card.

Auto-color Selection
---------------------
Once you've selected your team color once, this info is stored in your
DG.CFG file and while your player name stays the same, this color will
be *auto* selected for you as a convenience (as long as color is not taken
by another player).

If you wish to change colors, either change your team name or delete the
DG.CFG file.

Shielded Vests
---------------
These items now have 3 pockets on them and can be used as regular vests in
addition to their protection value.

Improbable Shots
-----------------
Remember: just because a merc warns you of a probable miss (e.g. due to
an obstruction) doesn't mean a refusal to shoot - simply give the command
again - it *may* be possible for a hit - the odds are against you, though.

Blue Flags
-----------
Placing a blue flag on a mine (or other dangerous spot) will not only allow
your own mercs to avoid it, but alert your opponents as well. So, if your
mission is to have an opponent detonate one of your mines, don't place a
blue flag on it!

Grenade Launchers
------------------
Using a grenade launcher is more like using a rifle than a mortar - grenades
are launched straightforward rather than in an arch. So, aim carefully when
obstructed by trees, etc.. If your merc tells you the shot is improbable, you
may want to aim *beside* the target (especially if the target is another
merc).

Mortars & Roofs
----------------
If you're looking to nuke mercs inside a building and you aim for the roof,
the mortar *should* damage the roof. Firing a second mortar at the same
roof area will allow the shell to drop down into the building.

Chained Explosions
-------------------
Chained explosions (explosions igniting other explodable items) will only
occur in single player mode.

Chat Destinations
------------------
If you're playing a 3 or 4 player network game, you can control your
chat destinations with the F1 to F3 keys (as well as the obvious buttons
provided).

Additional Scenarios
---------------------
Be sure to check out our website for additional scenarios and campaigns!

Pro-Audio Spectrum Sound Cards
-------------------------------
If the sound configuration does not correctly detect your PAS 16 for music,
select PAS 16 for digital sound and Sound Blaster for music instead.

Clearing Modem
---------------
When initializing your modem, you'll see the "Clearing Modem..." message.
If it appears to hang at this point, simple ESC out to the previous menu
and click on CONNECT again.

Network Play : Failing to connect
----------------------------------
Deadly Games supports both IPX and NETBIOS protocols for network game play.
If both protocols are available on any given computer, Deadly Games will
choose IPX. Therefore, if other networked machines have only NETBIOS, they
will fail to connect.

Therefore, please make sure that if any of the networked machines have
IPX available, the others do as well.

Network Play : Problem with NETBEUI (WIN95) protocol
-----------------------------------------------------
Please note that the NETBEUI protocol running on a networked WIN95 computer
will experience problems with DOS based NETBIOS drivers. We strongly
recommend the use of IPX when playing in WIN95 over a network.

T.E.N.
-------
Deadly Games is available on the Total Entertainment Network. To access
T.E.N., run TEN\SETUP.EXE from within Win 95.

Electronic Registration
------------------------
The install program will allow you to electronically register your copy of
Deadly Games by sending your registration information via modem. If you do
not have a modem, you will not be able to use this program to register.
