The Pz-II Lynx was built to fulfill a need for a more heavily armored scout
tank. The Lynx mounted a 20mm anti-tank cannon and first saw service in
1943. The armor was improved over previous models and could stand up
to small guns like the British 2lb cannon, but the tank was of limited
value. By 1944 it was too lightly armored to deal with the newer, more
powerful Allied tanks.
