This tank-destroyer, called the Rhino (Nashorn), consisted of an 88-mm anti-tank cannon and machine gun mounted on a PzKpfw III/IV
chassis, and was used on
all fronts as a heavy tank-destroyer unit, despite its weak armor. The open
turret, however, left it vulnerable to HE shells and it often had to rely
on its maneuverability and speed to survive.
