The M-13/40 was to form the spearhead of the Italian tank force in 1940.
It carried a bigger gun than the M-11/39, and have thicker armor, despite
the fact that it was a slow medium tank. The M-13/40 carried a 47mm anti-tank
gun and it could handle most early war tanks. Despite these improvements the
tank was poor match against most Allied tanks.
