The M3 Stuart light tank was preffered in all ways over the M2A4 light tank,
because of the Stuart's better armor, speed, and weapons. The M3 served
well in many theaters of WWII, and garnered the distinction of being the
first U.S.-built tank to see combat in WWII when the British used it in
Operation Crusader. It was equipped with a 37mm anti-tank gun and could handle
most German light tanks.
