OPERATION SUNRISE July 12th, 1942 -

In this battle we assume that the Japanese destroyed most of the U.S. Pacific
Fleet at Pearl Harbor, including the valuable carriers, and that the Japanese
also finished off the remains of the American fleet when taking Hawaii.
Realizing that the U.S. would never surrender, Japan decides to go for an all
out invasion of the West Coast. To pull this off the Japanese cancel
operations in the Solomons and Australia and take some 20 divisions out of
China. The major landing would have most likely taken place in Southern
California, but diversionary landings could have occurred in San Francisco.
While it is unlikely they could have taken the city, it would have diverted
U.S. Army troops from Ft. Ord; and the Presidio at the time was a major
command center. This scenario is not true to scale and is merely for
entertainment, enjoy!
